Job Description
A vacancy exist for a Silo Grader at Milling in Pretoria West. The position will report to the Silo Manager.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the correct grading of all grain samples received as per national grading regulations and that all information on your shift pertaining to the grading results are captured on introspect.
Minimum Requirements

• GRADING OF WHEAT AND MAIZE
• Safety and food safety regulations and requirements as per company policies and FSMS are adhered to all times.
• Assist with signing transporter delivery books upon arrival and issuing queue ticket.
• Machines checked for efficiency on each shift Breakdowns and or mechanical, electrical problems immediately reported by job card with necessary follow up until completion
• Ensure that all grading information and documentation is correctly filled in and all results captured on introspect
• Ensure that all water addition screening figures and bin dip calculations is correctly recorded daily
• Assist silo operator in any general silo duties as needed per shift
The incumbent will be required to work shifts. Applications without wheat and maize grading experience will not be considered.

Position outputs :
1. Compile technical specifications in respect of required maintenance
2. To draft technical drawings to facilitate medications to meet operational and maintenance requirements.
3. Conduct condition assessment of infrastructure assets, report on findings and compilation of maintenance plans resulting
from condition assessments.
4. Root cause analysis of engineering problems and come up with designs to solve the problems identified
5. Maintain technical library for reference

15. Estimate- Compile block estimate from surveyed/measured data, draft proposals and suppliers quotations through supply
chain to ensure that the project is economically viable for the clients or the port.
16. Specifications- To specify technical data of materials, workmanship and procedures in a contract format or on plan to
ensure that required standards of the client and Port are achieved
17. Project Management- To manage and control projects for a client or port to ensure that contractors perform according to
prescribed specifications and plans within the contract budget. Make on site decisions to get past obstacles and amend plans
accordingly

Reporting to the Inventory Administrator the successful candidate will be responsible for stock control, balancing of chemicals on a weekly and monthly basis. Stock replenishment as well as resolving stock imbalances
PRIMARY DUTIES
Management of stock by overseeing the correlation of orders with the materials received as well as recording and reporting discrepancies by contacting suppliers/sites.
Oversees the handover on material to packers, supervising the packing of material into bins as well as supervises the recording of items on the bin cards.
Dealing with queries and complaints.
Perform Ad hoc and bi-annual stock takes.
Stock Procurement
Perform Material Forecast Schedules by having the MRP run on a weekly or as and when required basis, creating requisitions etc.
Perform reconciliation of bulk chemicals; perform computer inputs and balancing on a weekly/monthly basis.
Comply with the SHEQ Acts, organizational policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Grade12/Std 10 or equivalent
3 years experience in a stores environment including warehouse management as well as financial management experience.
Computer literacy in Outlook and MS Excel is essential.
SAP experience will be an advantage
Procurement experience will be an advantage
